My name is Jaime Lane, and I am excited to introduce myself as someone deeply passionate about building strong connections between nonprofits and the business community here in the Lake Norman area. Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with more than 60 local nonprofits, helping to foster partnerships, share resources, and amplify the incredible work being done right here in our community.
During my tenure at Lake Norman Economic Development, I had the honor of organizing a major event, "Connecting our Communities," in May 2024 that brought together over 250 members of our business community to connect directly with local nonprofits. This event was designed to showcase the missions and opportunities of our nonprofit organizations, making it easier for businesses and individuals to find meaningful ways to get involved, whether through volunteering, funding, or strategic collaboration.
The results were inspiring: many businesses and nonprofits have reported great success from the event, forming new partnerships and launching initiatives that continue to benefit our community. Most importantly, we are keeping our volunteers and our resources local, ensuring that our collective efforts directly serve the people and causes that matter most to us.
